María Pérez Santana is completing her final year of studies in English and American Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Kent. Her poetry makes satirical claims through the defamiliarisation of the body, food and other commodities. She has recently self-published a prose poetry book on the imperfections of the human body and mind called Catheter.
